From Germany to Wilkesboro — Starting a New Season with Samaritan’s Purse

Just a few weeks ago, I began an exciting new chapter—starting my internship with Samaritan’s Purse. Since then, God has been faithful in leading me every step of the way, from moving to Wilkesboro, North Carolina to traveling across the ocean for a historic event in Germany.

🌍 Orientation, Germany, and the European Congress on Evangelism

After settling into Wilkesboro, I attended orientation at the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) headquarters in Charlotte. It was incredible to hear firsthand about their mission and legacy, which has shaped so many lives around the world.

Shortly after, I traveled to Berlin, Germany to serve as a steward at the European Congress on Evangelism—an event that only happens every 25 years! The first congress was held in 1966, nearly 60 years ago, so being part of this historic gathering was humbling and deeply encouraging.

I helped welcome pastors, missionaries, and leaders from across Europe as they united in worship and vision casting for global evangelism. After the congress, I had a few days to explore Germany—a beautiful, unexpected chance to rest and reflect before returning to the U.S.

🏡 Back in Wilkesboro and Looking Forward

Now back in Wilkesboro, I’ve stepped into my role on the North American Ministries (NAM) Site Leadership Team. I’m excited (and a bit nervous!) to lead volunteer teams and help coordinate relief efforts across the country.

And at the end of August, I’ll be heading into my next big adventure—the WorldRace. This season of preparation is already shaping me in incredible ways, and I’m trusting God to equip me for all that lies ahead.

🙏 Prayer Requests

  • For wisdom, strength, and humility in my leadership role with NAM

  • For spiritual growth and peace during this busy transition

  • For clear preparation and boldness as I get ready for the World Race

  • For the communities we serve—that they would be touched by God’s love

Thank you so much for your prayers and encouragement. I’m humbled to share this journey with you and can’t wait to see where God leads next.

With a grateful heart,
Amanda
