From Provision to Prayer: Turkey on My Heart
Before I share about Turkey, I want to begin with gratitude.
I am officially fully funded for this season of the World Race. I cannot say thank you enough. Your generosity and prayers have positioned me to step into this season with confidence in the Lordโs provision. Every conversation, every prayer room, every moment of obedience here is fruit of your partnership.
As I look ahead, I am currently praying about potentially stepping into a Squad Leading role when I return home. I am asking the Lord for clarity, humility, and confirmation. If you feel led, I would deeply value your prayers as I discern this next step.
And if you would like to continue partnering with me in a more personal way, whether through future support, blessing a teammate, helping with transition costs, or simply staying connected, you can find everything here:

Thank you for believing in what God is doing. I do not take your sacrifice lightly.
๐ Istanbul: Crossroads of the Nations
We entered Turkey stepping back into a familiar posture: ATL, Ask the Lord.
From the moment we arrived in Istanbul, I was struck by how alive it is. The city feels like the crossroads of the world. Nations, languages, religions, and cultures intertwine in every street and market. We have met Muslims, travelers, students, and families from all over.
One of the most beautiful parts of being here has been the hospitality. Over and over again, we are welcomed with warmth, offered tea or coffee, and treated with honor. There is something deeply humbling about being received so kindly by people who believe differently than you.
โ Coffee, Kindness & Mufasa
One highlight was getting coffee with a few girls on my squad and a man named Mufasa.
His kindness stood out immediately. He was gentle, curious, and intentional. There was no pressure, just openness. We talked about life, faith, and our stories. We laughed. We listened. We shared honestly.
Moments like that remind me that ministry often looks simple. It looks like eye contact. It looks like sitting across a table. It looks like loving people well.
The Kingdom moves through presence.
๐ Fasting During Ramadan
Right now, I am fasting during Ramadan on behalf of the Muslim nation, praying that many would come to know Jesus personally and intimately.
Fasting in this season feels intentional. As many here are leaning into spiritual devotion, I am asking the Lord to reveal Himself in dreams, in encounters, and through conversations. I am praying for softened hearts and divine revelation.
I am also fasting for my family and for an increase in spiritual giftings, specifically faith and words of knowledge. I am asking the Lord to stretch my trust beyond comfort and to sharpen my ability to hear His voice clearly. This is a present and ongoing surrender, one that is refining me daily.
๐ก Moving to Ayvacฤฑk: A House of Prayer
After ATL in Istanbul, we transitioned to our ministry location in Ayvacฤฑk, Turkey.
The shift from a bustling global city to a quieter coastal town has been beautiful. We met our ministry host and moved into the home where we are now living. On the top floor is a newly installed prayer room, and part of our ministry here is helping steward and build into that space.
When we are not working on the prayer room, we are interceding and meeting locals. Our days are marked by prayer, worship, and quiet conversations in town.
๐ฅ Living in His Presence
The coolest part of living in a house with a prayer room on the top floor is that we are quite literally dwelling in a space set apart for communion with the Lord.
We always have access to the Holy Spirit. He is not confined to a room. But having a physical place dedicated solely to prayer and worship has given me a deeper revelation of Jesus. There is something powerful about walking upstairs and knowing that space exists for interceding on behalf of this nation.
Turkey is rich in biblical history. Much of the early church was established in this land. To now be here, praying for revival and revelation in a nation that carries so much history feels both humbling and significant.
๐ What He Is Teaching Me
This season is teaching me that the Kingdom often moves quietly.
Through hospitality.
Through coffee conversations.
Through fasting in secret.
Through hidden prayer rooms.
Through simple obedience.
The Lord continues to deepen my faith and expand my trust. I am grateful to be here, interceding for this nation, asking for more boldness, more sensitivity to His voice, and more of His heart.
With love,
Amanda ๐ค
